Huub van den Akker

I’m a cinematographer based in Utrecht, working across commercials, music videos and fiction.

Light, framing and movement are central to how I approach a story. I’m drawn to images with atmosphere and a clear sense of place, whether a project calls for a bold commercial look or a more intimate, natural approach.

After graduating from HKU in 2022, I worked freelance and spent a year at Tingly. My cinematography includes films for Van der Plas, UltiMaker, ANDRITZ and De Alliantie, alongside fashion films, music videos and short fiction. I also work as a colorist and take on selected directing projects.
